Assessing the potential to achieve value chain GHG targets in a global agricultural commodity
We reviewed papers on GHG emissions associated with the production of an agricultural commodity in key sourcing locations. We analysed the GHG reductions that (agronomic) interventions could provide. Finally, we produced a scenario model in Python to evaluate the different sourcing and intervention scenarios for the commodity. The outcome informed the sourcing strategy for the agricultural commodity as well as the interventions in the various sourcing locations.
